ADMECO

ADMECO company history

The company evolved from the AlloPro AG, from 1968 to 1983 a manufacturer of artificial joints. Together with the latter´s customers, Pierre van den Wildenberg, founder of ADMECO AG, developed laminar flow booths to permit the implantation of prostheses under clean conditions. Observations and experiences in this field moved Pierre van den Wildenberg to develop better operating theatres than the ones he frequently encountered. Since 1984, ADMECO AG has produced concepts and products for state-of-the-art operating theatres, recovery rooms, intensive care units and private surgeries.

For almost 30 years, the originally Dutch (but now Swiss) engineer has shaped the company. He studied mechanical engineering in Eindhoven NL and with his family moved to Switzerland as long ago as 1973. In 2006 his son Jelle van den Wildenberg took over its management together with his son-in-law Cristiano Benini. To this day, Pierre van den Wildenberg still holds the position of President of the Board of Directors and remains actively involved in product development.

Over the last 30 years, ADMECO has developed from a local manufacturer of operating theatre air-flow systems to the only supplier in the world of complete OT concepts (development, production, assembly). Central to this development throughout had been the vision of a two-zone approach in the operating theatre (sterile OT protection zone and non-sterile peripheral zone). ADMECO with its partners across the globe is still the only supplier in the world to offer complete OT concept solutions to date.

31 employees working for the family-owned ADMECO company ensure the well-being and satisfaction of doctors and patients across the world. Particular emphasis in this is given to cooperation between individual departments: ADMECO AIR (OT Outlets), ADMECO LUX (Surgical lights) and ADMECO MED (Energy supply bridges). This close cooperation guarantees that requirements of modern operating theatres or doctor's surgeries are met with millimetre accuracy and cost efficiency, while achieving the highest levels of protection.

The company is based in Hochdorf, Switzerland.
