10 new operating theatres for the Hamburg Albertinen-Hospital

The Hamburg Albertinen-Hospital opens 10 new operating theatres – with medical technology from ADMECO

The inauguration and commissioning of ten new, green operating theatres in the high-tech functional wing of the Albertinen-Hopsital formed a high point of the past business year. The new operating theatres are equipped with integrated surgical technology, which enables complete documentation and communication.

At the core of the new operating area is a hybrid operating theatre which combines image-guided surgery and radioscopy units. The new high-tech operating theatres are designed in such a way that different specialist disciplines can use them in equal measure. The high-quality ventilation technology in the operating theatre also benefits the operating staff who are exposed to surgical fumes on a daily basis.

For the operating theatres fitted with the latest technology, ADMECO supplied ten ULD 32/32 V6 and V8 recirculated air ceilings with differential, low-turbulence displacement flow and redundancy regulation for a consistently trouble-free running of the operating theatres. "Germany is a very important market for us in Europe", says Jelle van den Wildenberg, Managing Director of ADMECO AG. "And the acquisition of this tender as well as the installation of this order in the 84 million new construction underlines our excellent market position in Germany."

In order to be able to use the operating theatres at full capacity and prevent contamination of the instruments in the preparatory phase, an additional four ULD 26/26 V4 recirculated air ceilings were supplied, tailor-made for the instrument set-up stations. "We are very proud of the trust that has been placed in us by the executive management and hospital management of the Hamburg Albertinen-Hospital. With our products, the hospital obtains safe and efficient equipment which supports them significantly in their daily work."

The Albertinen-Hospital/Albertinen House in Hamburg-Schnelsen is the largest non-profit hospital in Hamburg, with 650 beds. Around 66,000 patients, inpatient and outpatient, are treated here annually. The hospital is the academic teaching hospital of the University of Hamburg.
